Creative Strategist

intro

From sneaking a film crew through a Brazilian favela, carrying all of our gear to learn Pichação from a legendary artist, hanging over a canyon wall to get one bar of service and review a database design for a client, going on live television to defend a group of adults who actually dress up as superheroes and fight crime… a lot has happened in ten years, and that was just the tip of the iceberg.

I am a creative problem solver, a skeptical analyst, and a level-headed leader.

I am a DIGITAL PROJECT MANAGER with ten years of experience creating digital content and over five years of experience leading the day-to-day process in simultaneous complex projects for multi-functional teams of designers and developers. I am a very self-motivated leader who instinctively thinks ahead, and quickly adapts to solve problems, all while keeping a positive level head and dry sense of humor. I am truly passionate about finding innovative ways to streamline processes and have a proven track record of identifying strategic opportunities to increase efficiency while maintaining high group morale while releasing high-quality content.

EXECUTIVE ASSESSMENT

character summary- verbatim

“Ryan tends to build a close relationship with a relatively small group of associates. He requires many good reasons, as well as the benefits involved, before agreeing to making changes. At times, Ryan would like to slow the world down and cut out some of the activities people want him involved in. He wins through hard work and persistence. He likes to stay with one task until it is completed. When challenged, he becomes more objective. He can be open, patient and tolerant of differences. His natural quality of being nonjudgmental is a great strength. Because he is receptive and listens well, he excels in gathering information. When the time is right, Ryan can stand up aggressively for what he believes. He looks to people for support and inner-satisfaction as a way to reach his personal goals. Ryan is a team player but can also exhibit a desire for independence. He likes to win through persistence. He uses his strong, steady tendencies to accomplish his goals.

Ryan finds making decisions easier when he knows that others he respects are doing the same thing; he then has a feeling of stability and "family." He can be sensitive to the feelings of others and is able to display real empathy for those who are experiencing difficulties. He is good at analyzing situations that can be felt, touched, seen, heard, personally observed or experienced. His motto is, "facts are facts." He prefers to plan his work and work his plan. Subordinates may find it refreshing to be on his team. Ryan is persistent and persevering in his approach to achieving goals. Once he has arrived at a decision, he can be tough-minded and unbending. He has made his decision after gathering much data, and he probably won't want to repeat the process. He often thinks over major decisions before acting.”

“I had the pleasure of working with Ryan on the post-production team at MedBridge. As a more experienced member on the team, Ryan was an excellent trainer and mentor. He was always approachable and worked collaboratively with his team members and cross-departmentally. His passion for learning and creative problem-solving was evident when he created a robust, data-driven project tracking system. This project tracking system helped streamline methods of communication between the Content and Production teams, allowing individual project managers to have all of the information needed to perform well in one convenient location, and for teams to be more effective in maintaining project goals, schedules, and deadlines. He identified a way to improve the workflow of the department by creating this tool, and it has made for a fantastic experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously! In addition to being collaborative and a natural problem solver, Ryan is an attentive listener and is extremely dedicated to delivering a high-quality product. I would highly recommend him and would happily work with him again.
