dpm + Dit: Medical Training Pilot
What: Asked to design a pilot program for an in-home care facility that transitioned learning from classroom based to video based.
Topic: Content professional home care aids need to pass the state exam.
Involvement: I worked with the training director and his staff to design a 60-hour video training course - 55 hours of lecture based content and five hours of demos. I oversaw the filming, to ensure state required content was covered, and test questions were answered, managed and tracked 12TB of video content and was the sole editor for the entire training program.
Success: In the first year of the program the facility saw 98% of their students pass the state exam, up from the state average of 75% pass rate. Since filming this training program has been introduced across the country.
STORY STRATEGIST: AMC Series Pilot
What: Teamed up with Peter Tangen to design a tv series for AMC Network.
Topic: Real Life Superheros and community activism.
Involvement: For over two years, i was the sole videographer of the nightly crime fighting and homeless out reach efforts conducted by Seattle’s very own superhero - the then undefeated MMA fighter, Ben Fodor aka Phoenix Jones + his group the Rain City Superhero Movement,
Reach: Our raw, motion sickness inducing, gorilla-style video continually went viral and got so much notoriety we were able to sell rights, be featured for months in international media, have multiple books written about us and get featured on almost every evening and morning show in the country. Even today, this topic is still very relevant & teams still patrol around the world. However, the days of strapping on a bullet proof vests, to run around downtown, getting shot at, punched and stabbed are behind me.
